A project in partnership with the Center for Ethical Leadership based on Peacemaking Healing Circles.

This body of work explores how social support-building interventions can support the health and wellbeing of immigrants in the United States. I am currently the Principal Investigator for the research project, “Evaluating an Intervention to Build Social Support for Immigrants.” Because I am committed to community-engaged scholarship and building my research agenda with local social service agencies, this project is in partnership with a local nonprofit, The Center for Ethical Leadership. In this mixed method study, we examine the outcomes of their Community Circle Initiative, an intervention meant to build social support for immigrants, and measure how the intervention shapes participant leadership development, social support cultivation, and mental health.
